Kisima Mixed Secondary School helps children from the three arid counties of central Northern Kenya, formerly known as the Northern Frontier District. These are Samburu, Marsabit, and Isiolo Counties.  We also help children from four other counties where poverty is very high; Nyandarua, Laikipia, Baringo and Kakamega. Communities in the counties of the north and in Baringo are largely pastoralists – herdspeople who move their livestock in search of pasture and water – while those in the other counties are mainly subsistence farmers.
