So much progress has been made on our new building and it’s improving every day! The painters and builders are hard at work to get it finished.

Over the last ten days they have been aided by our volunteer Gabriel from Sweden. Handyman at home, Gabriel has been using his skills to help with the decorating and also with planting some trees and flowers.

The students also lent a hand with cleaning the building, which they did with their usual joy and enthusiasm!

On Friday we had a wonderful time with thirteen visitors connected with Two Sisters’ Church in Sweden. The students had great fun showing – and involving them in – their traditional dances. They also had the pleasure of learning more about Sweden through a song, a dance and a slideshow. Along with the treat of trying some Swedish sweets

We had the pleasure of welcoming two volunteers from Sweden over the last fortnight – Pelle and Boel who came for their fourth visit to Kisima! Pelle helped to chop lots of vegetables and Boel shared some of her Chemistry expertise in a few lessons.

In addition to all of this, they gave a very generous donation which has allowed all of the Form Twos to have their own tracksuits, much to their delight.
